Morah Lauren Forster
Hi, my name is Lauren Forster. I grew up in Chester, NJ, and - other than while completing my higher education in Cincinnati, Ohio - have lived here my entire life.
My passion for education started from a young age recognizing that we are all motivated in different ways by different things. While at the University of Cincinnati, I obtained a degree in Speech Pathology with a minor in Education. During this time I also received specialized training through the Rutgers School of Applied Psychology in behavior modification techniques. Throughout my career, I have worked in many settings across multiple age groups with both special and regular education. My passion is for enabling our youth to be well-rounded independent individuals teaching both life and academic skills utilizing a multidisciplinary and sensory approach. The key to my classroom is utilizing facilitative language with my learners.
In my personal life, I am an aunt to my brother’s three children, a admole I value so much. When I am not “aunting,” you can find me swimming, biking, running, hiking, kayaking, skiing, and just about anything else outdoors! During the summer, I compete in triathlons;I’ve completed the Lake Placid Ironman in 2023, a long-distance triathlon, and hope to do another in the years to come. I also have a passion for music so I hope your children come with their boogie shoes. I am looking forward to working with you and your children. It is exciting to join the Zimmer family and share my passions with my new community.
